Kakishibu is a wisdom of the past, now rare in the modern world. It is a natural, reddish-brown liquid crafted by crushing underripe green persimmons, then allowing the juice to ferment and age. For centuries in Japan, this environmentally friendly material has been cherished as a functional dye and coating—offering natural preservative, waterproof, insect-repellent, and antibacterial properties to wood and fabric alike.

Each piece is meticulously dyed by Omae Co., Ltd. in Shiga Prefecture. Guided by the theme of "Purification," they focus on dyeing processes that honor the earth and minimize environmental impact, making this a truly singular garment.
