About the Design
Inspired by classical Indian cotton shirt designs, each piece features meticulous, hand-crafted pleated tucks. About the Fabric: Ramie / Linen
This textile is a 50/50 blend of two distinct natural fibers: the resilient structure of Ramie and the gentle softness of Linen. Blending fibers of varying lengths is a complex technical challenge, making this Ramie Linen a testament to Japan’s world-class spinning expertise.
Woven in Hamamatsu, the fabric is hand-dyed by artisans using traditional Enshu techniques. It is then dried under the sun, exposed to the powerful winds and abundant sunlight unique to the Enshu region. This natural process imparts a profound depth of texture. Finally, the fabric is slowly softened through a meticulous kneading process, resulting in a plain-weave surface that is as soft and airy as if it were lightly brushed.
By dyeing small batches with patience and care, we have achieved a product defined by its unique hues, organic wrinkles, and the deep, sun-dried character of nature. Durable, easy to care for, and offering both breathability and warmth, this collection is intended to be a long-lasting companion throughout the year.
